To all non-native-english speakers: What language are you writing/posting in and why? Every time I think about posting something, I can't decide what language to use. Have written all my posts so far in English, because for me this is the lingua franca of "the internet". And I do want to use it.

  • Simple drawing of a person in front of a laptop looking confused and helpless. Over the persons head the words "Hallo Welt!" are crossed out. "Hello World!" is written below it.

5:50 - 50:5 When you are totally neglecting, that you have to draw 100 dogs to make your concept work 😆

  • Black and white comic like drawing of 100 dogs in a scene. 5 dogs on top of a wall having lot's of glamour and space, while 50 dogs in the lower right corner are crammed together, having almost no space. The rest of the dogs share the space on the left hand side of the image.

Hey #PortfolioDay! I'm Romana from Tyrol/Austria. I'm a graphic designer and illustrator, doing digital paintings and vector graphics. Can adapt to different styles, but love doing nerdy stuff. Fan of penguins 😁 🐧 🌐 romanamayr.com ✉️ contact@romanamayr.com

  • Some penguin graphics for a talk by Richard Weinberger of 'sigma star gmbh' - "Surviving in the Open Source Jungle"
  • The 'Wild Karl' looking out over the inn valley, the road leading down to Kiefersfelden. Done for a (never realized) beer bar.
  • Solar plane. Part of a big wallpaper graphic in a hotel, depicting the history of travel.
  • Emblem for the 'Royal Society for putting things on top of other things' (inspired by Monty Python of course). Done for the ALPSS Conference.

Plan driven or agile life plan? What is yours? One of the first things we learned about in the first semester was the software engineering process. And in this process the two main planning strategies: “plan driven development” aka. “the waterfall model” and “agile development. 1/6

  • a skribbly infographic, depicting on the one left side a plandriven life, starting with a baby, leading to study, work, family, retirement, grave. On the right side theres crisscrossing lines under the caption agile (that's me) leading from study to relationship to dog, travel, move, draw, back to study and some questionmarks.

It’s semester break and instead of taking a holiday from studying and concentrating on building my freelance career and business ( @tuschetier.at 👀), my “wanna‑do‑and‑know‑all” self subscribed to “Winter School – Futures Thinking for Innovation & Entrepreneurship,” because, you know, nothing to do…

  • Simplified drawing of a person sitting with the chin resting in the hand. pondering. "Futures Thinking..." is written below.

did my "methods of software engineering I" exam on thursday. checked the code afterwards.. memo to myself: if you have time left, just take a deep breath and check everything once again. this could have been easily avoided.

  • 3 panel comic, showing a person in front of a laptop, being more and more exasperated. text reads: "when you realize... your last minute <= to >= change... was wrong..."
