Standing on the shoulders of

Sifa exists because of the open source community. Every layer of our stack, from the operating system to the icons in the interface, is built and maintained by people who share their work freely. We also depend on free public infrastructure that others run at their own cost: the relays and firehoses we read from, and the personal data servers that hold everyone's data. We are grateful to them and would not be able to build Sifa without them.

Developer Tools

The tools we use to build Sifa. We use AI only to build the product; Sifa itself has no AI features (yet). When we do use a model, we self-host it or choose a zero-retention provider based in the EU (e.g. Mistral), and we prefer open-weight ones.
