Good on @sifa.id for foregrounding the entirely public nature of ATProto data during their data import process.
Sad how @skywatch.blue is able to label go-fund-me help-my-family spam accounts for "Misleading / Platform manipulation" before Bluesky themselves catch them. Almost as if there was something to this "focus on your core competence, and help the ecosystem do its thing" idea.

In agreement with @eclecticcapital.bsky.social analysis here. Blacksky’s business model thus far has been patronage which is what gives me freedom in my leadership decisions (building things like Assembly, etc) “Coordination IS the moat” “[Technology] has not democratized economic value” https://youtu.be/2XzBBvckxuA

another good nugget from #ATmosphere conf delivered by @eclecticcapital.bsky.social: ATProtocol could offer "open enough to scale, closed enough to mean something" ‘the successful outcomes will look more like "guilds" and "collectives" than traditional startups’ https://atmosphereconf.org/profile/eclecticcapital.bsky.social

My atconf talk "Consent Before Cryptography" is up! 20 minutes on why building a social future people opt-into is building the future that will win. From FaceMash to the Germ Protocol, I think we're moving in the right direction. ✅ atmosphereconf.org/event/LZxV6dv https://atmosphereconf.org/event/LZxV6dv

Which of you mentioned @convex.dev to me during #ATmosphereConf? I have a link to it saved from around the same time that I was discussing Panproto with @blaine.bsky.social but forgot to make any other notes. 🤦♂️
Just make sure whatever you're building wouldn't get past a committee and/or require a modicum of creativity, and you're fine.
Every time I read something like this, it further cements my conviction that I shouldn’t even consider investing in consumer stuff. I have no idea how these people think.
