Good evening from #Japan! My first photo set after the successful migration of my BlueSky data to @leafplaza.eu is a selection of night photos from the #Itabashi ward of #Tokyo. All with iPhone 15 Pro in night mode. #photography #streetphotography #スナップ写真 #UrbanGaze #scape @bskyphotos.bsky.social

Hello from #Tokyo! This morning, I managed to migrate my BlueSky data (i.e. the #atproto PDS) from U.S. servers to EU-based storage. I chose @leafplaza.eu, since their entire stack is truly European-sovereign, contrary to that of some other players like EuroSky. #ATProtocol #ATmosphere #PDS

Great lunch today at “Casa del Sorriso” in Hakozaki, Nihonbashi, at the occasion of my (today) and my wife’s (tomorrow) birthdays. Really tasty food. 🎉 #japan #tokyo #photography #japanesefood #italianfood @bskyphotos.bsky.social

Happy weekend from Japan! After 3 weeks of travelogue, back to regular programming. 😇 For #BlueSkyArtShow, a photo of Horseshoe Lake in #Jasper National Park, #Alberta, #Canada, taken from the #Edge of a cliff. #photography #naturephotography #scenicphotography @bskyphotos.bsky.social

I wrote up a countdown of all 24 James Bond movie theme songs so far, ranked by my personal preference. There are much more possibilities to rank 24 songs than there are people on the planet, so I wouldn't expect anyone to agree. 😅 #music #jamesbond #movies #blogging #soundtrack

#JP06 2006-04-17 - Last Day Early on day 22 of my first #Japan trip in 2006, I am the only foreigner on a domestic flight from Fukuoka to #Tokyo. Wandering around Shimbashi, Asakusa & Ginza before enjoying my hotel's views. #photography #streetphotography #scape #UrbanGaze @bskyphotos.bsky.social

#JP06 2006-04-16 In the morning of day 21 of my first #Japan trip in 2006, I took the Shinkansen from Hiroshima to #Fukuoka. I spent most of the day around the Kawabata area, at Canal City Hakata and along the Naka River. #photography #streetphotography #scape #UrbanGaze @bskyphotos.bsky.social

Still doing some testing with @leaflet.pub, this time checking out how using it to post photography would work. (I'd like to vastly simplify my website / online publishing & sharing approach if possible). #photography #streetphotography #scape #UrbanGaze #スナップ写真 @bskyphotos.bsky.social

#JP06 2006-04-15 Day 20 of my first #Japan trip in 2006 was a very rainy one. I took the ferry from #Hiroshima to #Miyajima where I saw Itsukushima Shrine with its famous "floating" torii gate. I felt sad about having to leave soon. #photography #streetphotography #scape @bskyphotos.bsky.social

Something totally different today: testing @leaflet.pub as a blogging tool (and loving it so far!). I'll mostly use it to archive notes, bits and thoughts all over the place, but you are welcome to read along. This first post is a text I wrote about 8 years ago. #projectmanagement #blogging

#JP06 2006-04-14 On day 19 of my first #Japan trip in 2006, after breakfast at the Ryokan, I went back to Okayama and then by Shinkansen to #Hiroshima. Seeing the A-Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum left a lasting impression. 🕊️ #photography #streetphotography #scape @bskyphotos.bsky.social

#JP06 2006-04-13 Continuing along the main Shinkansen route, day 18 of my first #Japan trip in 2006 brought me to #Okayama, where I went to see the castle and Korakuen. Went to #Kurashiki in the afternoon and stayed at a Ryokan. #photography #streetphotography #scape #スナップ写真@bskyphotos.bsky.social

#JP06 2006-04-12 Moving on from Kobe, day 17 of my first #Japan trip in 2006 was mostly spent exploring #Himeji Castle. Thankfully, the rain had stopped for the day. The scenery and the #cherryblossoms were glorious. #photography #streetphotography #scape #UrbanGaze @bskyphotos.bsky.social

#JP06 2006-04-11 On day 16 of my first #Japan trip in 2006, the rain alternated between “heavy” and “torrential”. After visiting #Osaka Castle in the morning, I took a short train ride to #Kobe, where I went to Chinatown. #photography #streetphotography #scape #UrbanGaze @bskyphotos.bsky.social
