I have a 3 hours drive ahead of me, which albums should I listen?

Today we celebrate 17 years together. ❤️

My partner is smiling. I'm giving her a kiss on the cheek. We're both 39 years old, white, and have brown hair. Hers is shoulder-length and mine is short.

Good morning! It's 7 am, and I was already lucky enough to get the chance to successfully select motorcycles and bicycles. Thank you, ReCaptcha! <3

Your Grid Lanes will likely fail WCAG 2.4.3

I saw a great introduction to CSS Grid Lanes, aka Masonry Layouts, by Patrick Brosset at CSS Day 2026. I liked the versatility of its use cases, but I was also concerned that it's inaccessible by default.

Sometimes using @polypane.app feels like cheating. It's so powerful!

Screenshot of Polypane showing a website at three screen sizes simultaneously, with numbers connected by lines showing the tabbing order. Whenever there is a mismatch between the visual and the tabbing order, Polypane highlights the number.

Hmm,…I think that having a `:focus-visible-within` pseudo class would be useful.

Damn, I'm working on a blog post that got completely out of hand while I should be working on another post or, you know, earning money.

Setting the width of selects to the width of the selected option

The field-sizing property is coming to Firefox 152, making it available across all major engines. It allows you to control the sizing behavior of elements with a default preferred size, such as form elements.

“AI does not fix a broken process; it accelerates whatever process you already have. If accessibility is already in the workflow, AI can help scale inclusion. If it’s not, AI will scale the same barriers teams are already shipping.” @aaron-gustafson.com www.aaron-gustafson.com/notebook/can...

The `field-sizing` property in CSS seems to be super useful. Here's an example. matuzo.at/blog/2026/se...

Pro tip: don't enable experimental features in the browser/profile you use for surfing. Use a dedicated browser/profile for that. It will save you from a lot of confusion.

Zen, Zed, and Zits

Don't worry, this post is not about zits, but something comparably annoying: [Zen](https://zen-browser.app/) and [Zed](https://zed.dev/). One is a browser and the other an editor. Even writing this, I don't know which is which. Their names and icons are so similar that I keep getting them confused.

I kept getting Zen and Zed confused. That's why I had to take drastic measures. matuzo.at/blog/2026/ze...
