LinkedIn retired their "InMaps" feature somewhere in 2014. I always found it a fascinating tool to visualize your professional network by surfacing highly connected subgroups within your network, showing who the superconnectors are and who the "brokers" between subgroups are... Example:

Yes: partly a principled stand. We’re not naïve about reality here: some apps NEED official IDs (KYC, age gating, regulated sectors). Depending on jurisdiction, providers are mostly US-based, data-hungry, or otherwise out of sync wth the privacy posture an open social web should hold itself to

Ok so the main feedback was: * less text * more focus on the avatar * dataviz: nice but should not distract, clean option is also nice. So first for the clean option I have these. Name and jobline scale with the content, can overflow to 2nd line if needed
