I'm seeing a similar dynamic in software. AI is crazy good at finding edge cases I missed, but the solutions it suggests amount to throwing on a bandage over the single problem than any sort of deeper architectural thinking. It also misses A LOT of bugs if not specifically tasked to look for them.

Hey @github.com - can you get NPM working reliably in your actions before working on your next Copilot feature? Having to wait more than 5 minutes for something to fail and then manually having to restart the job hoping that IT won't fail is a pretty frustrating way to spend time with your product.

Going through some AI-authored changes to an open source passive data collection system I've been building for well over a decade now and while the code quality is better than the JavaScript I've seen, I'm left with a lot of questions. I have an request out to the updaters for their AI chat logs...

I mentally checked out of being excited about the Android platform around the time they begin pushing "Material You" (and more so when the Gemini nagging became incessant), but I need to update and test some code. It's kind of comforting to see the "optimizing device" screen (and delay) persists.
