Already packed camera away and was chatting to SB when a raptor caught my eye... Cue panic and pausing conversation for Honey-buzzard west over Titchfield Haven! A speck my the time I got the camera on it 🫣 My 5th over patch - most late August birds. #PWC2026 #LowCarbonBirding

  • Original photo mainly of grey clouds and two blobs which are birds. One has a red arrow pointing at it
  • Cropped photo of a Honey-buzzard showing a dark oval ish carpal patch and mostly pale underwings but darker primaries. It is flying away

Some of Hill Head's Turnstones are looking particularly smart including this one who was blocking the path! #HantsBirds

  • Turnstone on grey paving. It is still in breeding plumage with ruddy tones on wings and mantle (hence its full name Ruddy Turnstone). Black Brest, mostly white head and underparts and orange legs.
