Engineering leader and long-time Elm advocate. I lead the R&D Elm team at Scrive, speak on functional programming, host the annual Global Day of Coderetreat, and help organize Elm Camp — all the same thread for me: getting better at the craft, and helping others do the same.

My background runs through PHP, C#, and TypeScript, but Elm showed me the beauty of functional programming, and I've preferred it over OOP ever since. Elixir is next on my list.

Outside work, I hold a PPL(A) and like building and running my own things — self-hosted infrastructure, local models, my own agent, and now the AT Protocol, where I'm planning my first app. Privacy and security are a growing interest running through all of it.

I lead Scrive's Elm team of four, driving Elm adoption across the company — it's grown from 2 applications to 5, with 4 teams now working in Elm. We're currently rebuilding the core of our main application in Elm, on track to ship this year. My focus is the infrastructural core of the stack: keeping it efficient, maintainable, and easy to navigate. I'm also part of the ongoing design-system effort — a genuinely hard problem when roughly half the product is Elm and the rest is mostly React. Alongside the technical work, I mentor the team and keep collaboration flowing across teams.
