Report

As a passionate and dedicated individual to medical science study and healthcare policy, I am looking for opportunities to make a difference in the compassion, patient care, and disease perception. I hope to do this through means of clinical practice, research, and advocating proven efficiencies in hopes to increase the quality of care delivered to patients; ensure patients are treated as people, not statistics; contribute to the policies that govern how and why care is delivered; and reframe how disease is related to and perceived.

Management of stakeholder relationships for the South West Child Health Information Service ( SW CHIS) including: General Practitioner staff (clinical and administrative), Local Medical Committee Leads, CCGs, PHE and NHS Commissioners. Led the creation of social media platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic to achieve engagement with stakeholders. Platforms generated a wide audience and enabled new means of contact and opened new connections with the wider healthcare industry (i.e. NHS England through immunisation campaigns and NHS Digital for NEMS implementation). Utilised a CRM to track issues across 300+ practices in the South West and ensure resolution. This helped to achieve the culture shift from manual submission of data (.pdf, handwritten, etc.) to electronic methods (system generated reports, direct extraction). These changes helped decrease administrative load on practices and increase accuracy due to reduction of transcription errors. Held online sessions to increase education and awareness of services and address issues affecting multiple practices. Helped with implementation and updating of extraction methods to include SNOMED CT codes alongside Read2 and Read3. Helped review data issues and internal processes relating to SNOMED extractions.
