I’m sympathetic to the W Identity thing - maybe the implementation is bad and invasive. But the idea of trying to verify humanness feels pretty important. Personally I’m into the idea of trust networks and using the social graph as a means of classifying “degrees” of authenticity.

Feels like the next political moment is Neighbor Politics - hyper local in person day to day neighborliness which is then held up as an ideal of our politics. Maybe same as it’s always been - but somehow I’m tuning in more or it feels more salient when compared to a degrading online ecosystem

I think this stuff misses that the regulation is to prevent non-citizen users - which grosses me out. Thats not natsec. Thats smells of Korematsu
