The recent podcast from @syntax.fm finally kinda made me understand the basics of the AT protocol and why it's so cool.

TIL WebKit renders SVG filters directly on the CPU. So if you use SVG filters to create effects on your page (like a squiggle effect...), it can massively slow down the responsiveness of your page. Other browsers use GPU acceleration.

I redesigned my personal site to look like an old operating system, but made it accessible, responsive, fully interactive, and progressively enhanced. Wrote a lil’ blog post about it. More coming soon ✌️ leekeh.com/blog/hello-world

I'm deleting my Telegram account. Too much spam, and having to pay to block incoming messages from non-contacts is hostile UI and frankly against what I thought the app stood for.

- Charge for Messages (locked)

You can restrict messages from users who are not in your contracts and don't have Premium.

When browsing public domain, I somehow always run into this picture from the Amundsen south pole expedition.

A yellowed, black and white picture of a dog surrounded by an arctic landscape. It is captioned "Deep in thought".
