Dander was a mobile app that allowed users to donate to specific pets at animal shelters. We shut it down after a year for lack of traction. But it taught us a bunch for our next startup.

Worked as a result of RealPage acquiring a previous startup (Yield Technologies). Departed when Realpage shut down our Chicago office.

Started as .NET full stack developer and product designer. Employee number 2. Helped lead it to a couple million ARR and an acquisition by RealPage.

Put the career on hold while home with my kids. Quite the challenge, to be honest, but an awesome experience. Also wrote a successful blog about at-home parenting and stay-at-home dads called The Daily Writer.

Did a little bit of everything for a small 3D effects shop and film production company. Helped design and develop various websites. Set up shared networks for file transfers between animator machines and editing machines. Standard and hi-definition digital video editing with Sony Vegas and AVID. Wrote short film scripts for proposed projects. Production assistant on two feature length productions. Performed various creative duties.

Served primarily as an Intranet developer, designing and building a corporate Intranet that served 26,000 employees. Designed and developed the front end of a employee job requisition application that allowed all managers to submit hiring requests to HR, track approvals through various stages, and ultimately report headcount. Won an AT&T Circle of Excellence award for designing and developing a software solution that allowed HR to increase offer letter processing speed by over 300% and thereby reduce headcount.
