As an armchair expert I can say this isn't funny. A FPTP electorate only does this under extreme distress.

Bar chart of the England council elections captured from the BBC website, showing Reform gaining the most council seats with 1428 (up 1426 from 2 previously held in the seats up for election), Labour noticably less at 955 (down 1380 from 2335), Lib Dems and Conservatives not far behind at 832 (up 152 from 680) and 773 (down 551 from 1324) respectively. There's a jump down to the Greens at 508 (up 367 from 141) then another to a final independant column at 188 (up 17 from 171).

FPTP typically encourages a two-party system, so somthing is up.

Continuing my streak of setting up business-focussed social media accounts that I'll use begrudgingly if at all. I'm now also on Sifa I'm probably more philosophically aligned to sifa, but linkedin has a much stronger network effect so we'll see how things go. sifa.id/p/dominicbis...

🎵the art of the compromise; hold your noise and close your eyes Despite being social-media-adverse, I've finally bitten the bullet and set up a linkedin. I should probably be making an effort to cultivate my professional network in my role as Technical Director www.linkedin.com/in/dominicbi...
