Cygnet operates 17 centres with more than 740 inpatient beds, and about $160 million in annual revenue, covering acute psychiatric care, nursing homes providing long term and respite care, Detox5, an opiate detoxification centre, and care homes for people with Autism. Completed sale to UHS in 2014 for approx. $335 million.

Temporarily stealthy startup company in the online market research space

Designed and implemented all software for the gumstix computing platform, a linux server the approximate size of a stick of chewing gum (80x20x6mm). Grew the company to serving over 7,000 customers worldwide.

Corporate anti-spam group at McAfee

Founded a successful company providing commercial anti-spam products based on the open-source SpamAssassin engine. Sold the company to Network Associates to become the McAfee corporate anti-spam product.

Founded and grew Panopticon as a product discovery and recommendation platform. Supported many high-profile early internet companies with the product, culminating in an acquisition by Broadbase for over $100 million.

Led product integration teams in porting an existing C++ and VB client/server application to Java in Java's earliest days. Managed deployments of the technology at several large banking customers.
