I answered a friend's question about how AI systems might enact control over humans, and why it is important to discuss AI risk. People in the AI industry are becoming more and more scared, so I figured it was worth putting some thoughts down.

Meta made an AI product and I regret to inform you it is very good. It is complete, fully featured, well designed, uses decent privacy practices, and clearly helps users understand agents. AI for your mom.
