Fanatical and critical about movies and tv. Enthousiastic about web development.

Career: 9

Fok!

2013 - Present

From my position as Administrator for FOK! and part time film reviewer for the site, in 2013 I took over the general management of the film and television section. Since then, I have increased my focus on the film & tv-related content on FOK!, writing a selection of the film reviews and coordinating the editorial staff.

As part of my goal to broaden the appeal of the site towards visitors interested in popular culture, I have visited conventions such as Comic-Con International to bring original content from an international perspective to FOK!, interviewing creators of popular shows and movies and reporting about the events themselves.

Since starting to write about film and television on FOK!, with which I started well before 2013, my interest in the subject has increased and I now aim to further professionalize my involvement with film journalism.

010php

Rotterdam Area, NL

Jun 2013 - Jan 2020

In the summer of 2013 the meetup group 010PHP saw the light of day. We started this group, a nonprofit community which organizes monthly meetups for PHP developers and related IT professionals, to grow the local community of web developers, enthusiasts and the likes.

These days, we're honored to draw around 50 to 60 010PHP members each month to our meetups, and see many returning faces as well as new ones at each meetup. Our main talks inform or teach the attendees about a variety of topics, ranging from pure programming resources to social skills. And of course, it's a great monthly networking and socializing event.
