I’m a technical co-founder that builds great teams and great products. I help companies from scrappy startups to Fortune 500 companies build and scale teams that ship products from zero, to one, to millions of users.

I pick the right tool for the job with a bias towards shipping and iterating quickly. My present preferred toolbox for writing software is Elixir backend, Typescript frontend, Postgres, and Docker/K8s.

My most recent expertise has been as founding engineer at Knock Labs, building our teams & systems from our earliest days through each scaling inflection point. At Knock, we power notifications for internet-scale companies like Zapier, Vercel, Medium, Amplitude, and Webflow.

In 2008 I founded an agency that shipped various B2C apps for iOS and Android, reaching the top 10 charts on the App Store. We also produced solutions for clients in hospitality, health, and more.

Some of my favorite work powered simulated space flight adventures & experiences for K-12 students (ask me about it).

In 2012, I was interviewed by CBS national radio about federal privacy regulation. I also maintained a news roundup tech column.
