Very nice to see one of the rare post-pandemic outdoor dining structures in the wild at The Skillman in Sunnyside. People seem to prefer it, and it’s a much better use of the space than parking 1.5 SUVs.

Who knows the deal with all the Fisker EVs on the streets of NYC? They're all Uber TLCs! Reportedly only around 5000 Oceans were ever delivered, but apparently 10k were built. But according to open data, 1,261 of them are on the streets of NYC, shuttling folks around. Like seeing a unicorn daily!

Look what I just dug out of a drawer. Last time it was powered on was 2010, and damn times have changed. Kinda want to mod it now. Replace the battery (seems fine tho?), upgrade the storage to a couple TB flash card. Firmware hack to play lossless.

With congestion pricing in effect I think these hop on hop off tourists busses are probably way less of a scam and waste of time than before. Instead of sitting in traffic all day you can actually move around the city.
