I'm a Team Leader and Research Software Engineer. Currently working moslty with Python and Javascript/React. I've also built things in C, C++, C# and Java.

Currently working at the synchrotron Diamond Light Source in Oxfordshire. Running a team replacing the LIMS systems with a modern service structure.

At STFC I worked on a Workflow system based on Kubernetes and Argo. Used in planning the UK's future infrastructure.

At Oxford University's eResearch Centre, I mostly worked on Early Modern Letters Online (EMLO), and Fusing Audio and Semantic Technologies (FAST). EMLO uses semantic linked data to link up 16th, 17th and 18th century letters. FAST is a research project in to how to take music forward into a semantic future.

Previously I worked in the Bodleian Digital Library were we linked datasets, preserved digital documents for a millennia and publish searchable websites on a wide variety of subjects.

Some of the other things I've done: a government sponsored open file format to standardise content on whiteboards, a large suite of office software tools in C and C++, a 3D world interface in C#, an on-line collaborative website creator in C# and SQL and a Student Testing System in Javascript, HTML and C#.
