SvelteKit. - Cybersecurity. NIS2. - ITSM (Freshservice). ITAM (Snipe-IT). - Ontwikkelen nieuw platform voor rechten- en middelenbeheer. IAM. - Projecten: nieuw ZIS (OAZIS) live per 17.10.2025, migratie Philips Vue PACS (ASZ/AZORG Aalst -> AZ Oudenaarde live per 10.11.2025), nieuw EPD (Zorgi-toepassingen Meddos, CPD e.a. -> Nexuzhealth KWS) 2025 tot Q2 2029, vernieuwing telefonie, migratie virtualisatieplatform van VMware naar Proxmox VE, enz. - Fusie AZ Oudenaarde & AZ Glorieux Ronse per 01.01.2027. - Uitbouw gemeenschappelijke BI- en AI-cel AZO+AZG. Onze afdeling was een bus met 25+ toppers. Meestal zat ik aan het stuur, soms was ik de gids en dan weer repareerde ik een lekke band. Samen waren we een leuke bende, schijnbaar op weg naar nergens, but there's a city in my mind ... (ja, ik ben een Talking Heads fan). 25+ collega's, 3 teams: 1. Team Support: Dienst Helpdesk: eerstelijnssupport, accounts en authenticatie, OTRS, documentatie, ... Dienst ServiceDesk & Shop: fysiek onthaalpunt, shop voor Dell & Ricoh, publieke PC's in PC-lokalen/bibs/auditoria, Helpdesk On The Road (#HOTR), DICT Service On-Site (#SOSDICT), ... (lead Erwin Plancke). 2. Team SysAdmin: Windows endpoint- en serverbeheer, (Azure) Active Directory, Deployment OS en eindgebruikerssoftware (scriptgebaseerd, ECM, Intune), Citrix (aka Athena), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Office 365, raamcontracten clients, printers & copiers, ... (lead Stijn Vermeulen). 3. Team Training: IT-opleidingen (lead Tim De Roeck). Daarnaast waren in onze afdeling 2 stafmedewerkers actief rond algemene en incidentcommunicatie en kwaliteitsbewaking. De ICT-uitdaging aan UGent is gigantisch: 13.000+ medewerkers, 42.000+ studenten, 9.000+ corporate owned private Windows endpoints & 2.500+ gedeelde, publieke en technische endpoints & veel Mac en Linux & 10.000-en BOYD-toestellen. Vele honderden softwarepakketten (you name it, we have it). Grootste realisaties vanuit onze afdeling met UGentbrede impact: Active Directory (2004), Athena (2005), grote raamcontracten (actueel met MS, Dell, Ricoh, enz.), uitrol ticketingsysteem support incl. self-service (OTRS), migratietrajecten naar Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10 en naar Intune MDM (2022-2023), uitrol SharePoint, OneDrive en M365, consolidatie van alle mail naar Exchange en later naar Exchange Online (2003-2023), uitrol MS Teams (2020), implementatie MFA voor iedereen (2021), medewerkerstrainingen MS Teams e.a. (sinds 2020), enz. (last update: 01.03.2024)
Automatiseren en scripten was mijn ding. Hier kon ik de basis leggen voor wat meer dan 20 jaar als de 'rollout' door het leven zou gaan: een scriptgebaseerde deploymentarchitectuur waarmee we alle Windowsclients en -servers configureerden, zowel OS als vele honderden softwarepakketten. Dit zonder 1 euro licentiekost. (last update: 14.03.2023)
The early days of artificial intelligence (expert systems, neural networks, image recognition, speech synthesis and recognition, etc.). Did some work on the Design Rule Checking project with Barco Graphics.
