Report

Is your investor-backed Games, XR, or AI venture hitting technical snags, missing milestones, or struggling to translate creative vision into reliable execution? Are investors asking tough questions your current technical leadership can't confidently answer?I'm Mark Ripley, and I act as the Technical Guardrail for early-stage and scale-up companies, de-risking delivery and accelerating progress to meet critical investor and publisher milestones. My core value is providing Structure and Direction, serving as the "Anti-Flounder" solution that transforms technical chaos into operational excellence. For over two decades, I've founded, scaled, and advised innovative tech companies, specialising in high-stakes environments where robust technical strategy is paramount. My experience includes co-founding Friendly Giants, growing it to a £36M valuation, and securing £1.2M in investment, demonstrating a clear track record of scaling and investor-readiness.My proprietary "3-Pillar Technical Health Diagnostic" framework, branded as the "60-Day Reset," is designed for rapid impact. Within just 60 days, I pinpoint and address critical technical, team, and process risks, transforming instability into operational effectiveness:Code & Architecture Audit: Deep dive into technical health, suitability, and future-readiness, identifying technical debt and scalability risks.Team Dynamics & Leadership Audit: Evaluate engineering team structure, capabilities, and operational cohesion, uncovering "human debt" and leadership gaps.Engineering Processes & Workflow Audit: Optimise workflows from development to deployment, implementing industry best practices (e.g., Git, QA, CI/CD).The result? Teams that move from endless consensus-seeking to efficient execution, clear technical roadmaps, and the foundational stability needed to attract and retain investment. My quick win is achieving investor-readiness by optimising tech stack choices, restructuring teams, and implementing robust development processes.I partner with Founders, CEOs, CTOs, and Investors, especially the "Overwhelmed Founder CTO" who needs strategic technical mentorship to scale, or ventures experiencing "Creative vs. Investor" Friction.Ready to de-risk your venture, accelerate delivery, and ensure investor confidence? Let's connect to discuss how the "60-Day Reset" can transform your technical landscape.https://markripley.com/cv.pdf
