Juan A. Esteban

Independent researcher in philosophy of art and AI. Visual artist (poetry, photography, painting). Author of Art as Structural Surplus: Toward a Relational Ontology Beyond Human Authorship (PhilArchive / Zenodo, 2026) and creator of the TransArte® project.

My current research examines the conditions under which an artistic event can occur in open relational systems, including human–machine and machine–machine configurations. The work engages canonical and contemporary cases in philosophy of art, systems theory, and the empirical literature on emergent communication between artificial systems.

President of Kripties Fundación (Málaga), dedicated to art and technology as vehicles of social inclusion. The foundation supports emerging artists facing mental-health, neurodivergence, and social-integration challenges through workshops, residencies, exhibitions, and outreach. Fine Arts degree (Universidad de Sevilla, 1998), Strategic Brand Direction at ESADE.

My research is guided by a commitment to ethical and sustainable practice: all work involving human emotional or behavioral data is conducted with explicit informed consent.
