Getting nerdsniped again by wanting some basic markdown in OpenBudget’s notes areas. Very simple bold, italics, headers stuff but I’m WAY over engineering it. One of those little niches where I know the ‘right’ way to do text parsing and highlighting and I can’t make myself halfass it.
That’s true, but iirc they have talked about how Dia is the same tech and that’s got their full support.
Especially when you look at the browser company. They don’t advertise it as much but they’ve successfully build a multi-platform app with a Swift core.

Liquid Glass has so many odd, undocumented, behaviors. For instance, you want a glass element you can drag around? Can’t do that by default as all interactive glass elements will stretch from their original position instead of moving. No way to modify or disable the stretching
If you try to animate a Liquid Glass UIView’s layer.opacity, it’ll break entirely even after animating it back. Turns out you can animate the view’s alpha property just fine though
It looks good, finally found it bsky.app/profile/aero...
