• Responsible for transitioning to latest version of Marks Systems homebuilder software. • Reduced number of options from 14,000 to 4,000 even while also increasing models from 8 to 32. • More than 25 bug fixes and features added to Mark Systems. • Worked with outside vendor to plan / maintain network at company’s corporate and sales offices.

• High availability (11 Million page views and 520,000 unique visitors/month) financial site. • Database server up for 500+ days, Web server up 300+ days. Root access on all machines. • Strong interaction with colleagues on all phases of site design and development. • Had never seen one line of Perl upon accepting job. Exclusively using mod_perl 18 months later. • Developed Rails-like system of Perl/CGI to speed up repetitive tasks when creating applications. • All packages are object-oriented, and clearly separate data-retrieval functions from display functions. • Designed all database schemas, and coded all Perl packages, required for each project. • Developed all sections of the site, except Quotes/Charts, from concept to completion. • Developed many interfaces allowing database interaction for the office staff with no SQL knowledge. • Developed reports for corporate intranet to evaluate the success of various business goals.
