Design and manage new training products, delivering great Learning User Experiences by harnessing the best of active learning methodologies and offering an environment optimized for learning.
Here to design modern training methodologies to match the needs and diversity of 21st century people, based on what neurosciences and my personal experience as a teacher / continuous learner have taught me on how humans learn. My goal is that the learning user experience found at BeCode delivers concrete results, while at the same time be joyful, inspiring and uplifting for the incredible people who join our trainings. The other part of my role as manager is to make sure everyone in the staff feels empowered to have the maximum positive impact on our society. What I do : - Find, hire and onboard the next generation of IT trainers - Structure, update and align BeCode's active learning pedagogy throughout Belgium, using co-creation, design thinking, Agile (I prefer to call it "failing forward" ) - Manage and support trainers in their day-to-day ideas and in their pedagogic upskilling using 1on1s (supervision), honest feedback and encouraging group dynamics of help (intervision) - As part of BeCode's leadership team, I contributed in the growth of an ambitious startup of 11 people into a SME of 45 (and counting...) over 5 cities
Erasmus+ Project exploring concrete ways to support trainers in digital coding bootcamps (like BeCode) with tools and activities. In partnership with our friends at Simplon (FR), Simplon Romania, Factoria F5 (ES), PLS (BE). The project delivered the creation of a toolkit to help recruiters attract and interview potential trainers, the first iteration of an Erasmus-like exchange program for trainers across Europe and an online Q&A platform for trainers facing challenging situations.
User-centered web design and development, tailor-made solutions for effective online presence.
I coordinated a research project on web accessibility issues experienced by folks affected by some degree of colour blindness. We used eyetracking tool to objectify color vision deficiency during UX testing sessions. Based on that research we built an online tool to help diagnose colourblindness : https://test-your.colour-blindness.org This research was a collaboration between two academic institutions: HEAJ + UNamur, and a private business: Dogstudio. It was funded by the Region of Wallonia.
Teacher in all things web to bright young design students. In that context, I loved project-based learning and tried to make it as much "learning by doing" as possible. To do that, I would turn my classroom into small web agencies. I would organize workshops on Data visualisation, Human-centered design, interaction design and storytelling. invite awesome people for workshops and seminars.
I teach web usability as part of a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design at the Haute Ecole Albert-Jacquard in Namur, Belgium.

Mathr is a brain building game to improve your math calculation skills. Practice arithmetic and level up!
At first, an AT Protocol PDS (Personal Data Server) located in my house, this grew into a bigger project to help onboard people to the fast-growing ATmosphere, a decentralized ecosystem of apps and opportunities. As usual, personal projects are great to self-learn so I experiment with Caddy and Typescript, alongside Sveltekit.

I coached and supervised the bi-weekly training of a group of 13 young fellas, aged 12-15, and loved every bit of it. The main challenge I worked on: - turn the group into a team, where solidarity and uplifting each other is key to success despite the diversity of mindsets and skills - improving both hard skills and soft skills. Baseball is a beautiful and demanding sport, especially for young Belgians since they don't see any baseball outside the baseball training hours. That said, it's a great school of life as it foster personal and group ethics.
In short: I provided after‑school support and recreational activities with children and teenagers. Why ? I got fed up with living a quiet, safe life while walking past people in deep distress, sleeping directly on the street. I started feeling that I should be a little less part of the problem and a little more part of the solution — at least by trying to support the people who do this work professionally, with some of my time and creativity. I first joined a Christmas celebration there (an absolutely legendary karaoke!) and it was honestly one of the best Christmases of my life because the human warmth was incredible. Now I go every week to help kids and teenagers with schoolwork. The experience is deeply rewarding: I learn a lot from them and, despite their wounds and their challenges, they smile, they show up, and in the end we just have fun together. Their life stories and resilience really humble me. I keep thinking they have so many strengths that our society desperately needs. Every week at L’Îlot, what I see is the raw, unfiltered beauty of humanity. Support L’Îlot : they are really professionals and caring.
