## About

Pierre Boulet has been full professor of computer science at the University of Lille, France, since 2003 and project officer in charge of cybersecurity at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space since 2025. 

Pierre Boulet received a PhD of computer science in 1996 from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France. His interests range from parallelism, compilation, computer architecture, embedded system co-design and neuromorphic computing. He initiated the research on neuromorphic computing and spiking neural networks at CRIStAL and IRCICA with colleagues from nanoelectronics (IEMN lab) in 2012. He was deputy director of LIFL then CRIStAL labs from 2008 to 2017. He was vice president for digital transformation of the University of Lille between 2018 and 2021 and has been vice president for digital infrastructures from January 2022 to December 2025. He has chaired the national professional network of digital vice presidents of universities, VP-Num, between November 2022 and December 2024. He is a member of the HiPEAC EU support action and a senior member of the SIF, IEEE and ACM professional societies.
