## About

I’m a Senior+ Cloud and Operating Systems Engineer working at Canonical on Ubuntu cloud images for Azure. My work focuses on platform reliability, upgrade safety, and large-scale automation at the operating system and cloud boundary.

I design and operate end-to-end automation that validates Ubuntu images across provisioning, regression, and long-lived upgrade scenarios, and I investigate and fix complex platform failures across cloud agents, networking, Linux security subsystems, and performance-sensitive components. I act as an Ubuntu package maintainer for cloud and distro critical software and was the first maintainer of the .NET 6 and 7 packages in Ubuntu, delivering production fixes that land across stable releases.

Beyond individual contributions, I work closely with upstream communities, Debian, cloud providers, and internal R&D teams to reduce regressions and improve platform determinism. I write backend and automation code in Python, Go, Shell, Perl and C/C++, contribute to CI and release engineering workflows, and design lightweight orchestration tooling that makes automated cloud validation more reliable and less error-prone.

My background spans research, enterprise systems engineering, and open-source development, which allows me to approach problems with a strong systems perspective and long-term maintainability in mind. I’m motivated by understanding complex platforms deeply, fixing issues at their root, and enabling teams through better tooling, automation, and shared knowledge.

My career has been shaped by long-term work close to operating systems, infrastructure, and complex distributed environments. I started in research and systems engineering roles, building and maintaining data-intensive Linux platforms, and gradually moved into large-scale automation and platform reliability work in enterprise and cloud environments. Today, at Canonical, I operate at the intersection of Ubuntu, cloud providers, and upstream open-source communities, where I focus on improving the reliability, security, and upgrade safety of Ubuntu cloud images on Azure through automated validation, package maintenance, and deep system-level debugging. Across roles, I’ve consistently taken on problems that require deep system understanding, fixing them at the root cause, collaborating across teams, and delivering solutions that scale beyond individual components.

## Career

- **Server/Cloud Distro Software Engineer at Canonical** (Jul 2021 - May 2026)
  ES
I design and operate end-to-end automation to validate the quality, robustness and upgrade safety of Ubuntu cloud images on Azure. I investigate root causes and resolve platform failures identified by large-scale automated infrastructure testing across cloud agents, networking, Linux security subsystems and performance-critical components.

I design and operate end-to-end automation that validates image quality, robustness and upgrade safety, covering provisioning, regression and long-lived upgrade scenarios.

A core part of my work involves conducting root-cause analysis and remediation of platform failures identified through large-scale automated infrastructure testing. These issues span cloud agents, networking services, Linux security subsystems, and performance-critical components, often requiring deep system-level debugging and production-grade fixes.

I act as an Ubuntu package maintainer for cloud and distro critical software and was the first maintainer of the .NET 6 and 7 packages in Ubuntu. I write backend and automation code primarily in Python and Shell, and I deliver fixes by patching and maintaining packages written mainly in Go, Rust, Python, C/C++ and Perl. I integrate changes into CI pipelines and stable releases and collaborate closely with Debian, Microsoft, upstream communities and internal teams to reduce regressions and improve long-term reliability and maintainability.
- **Tech Specialist, Software Engineer at BUSINESS AT&T** (Jun 2018 - Jul 2021)
  Granada, Andalucía, ES
I worked on the evolution of cybersecurity platforms, leading operating system migrations and contributing to backend development in Python and C. I automated CI and deployment workflows, built packages and ISO images, and strengthened system reliability through testing and release processes.

My role combined hands-on engineering with technical research and documentation, supporting security-critical systems deployed across virtualized and cloud environments.
