Headline: Senior Software Engineer

## About

I’m Henry, a senior software engineer and musician based in New York City.I am passionate about building beautiful and impactful software. I love the process of understanding user pain points, coming up with a great UX, and creating apps that are a joy to use. I thrive with lots of autonomy, and enjoy the process of taking a project from ideation to completion. I can work in both full-stack roles and in more frontend-focused ones, and pride myself on being a “design capable” developer.I’m always working on a project. I’m most known for Open IPA, an IPA transcription tool that helped 76K people this year learn how to pronounce Latin and French text. My favorite project to demo is overtone.fyi, a fast Fourier transform-powered visualizer for singing education. Recently, I’ve started working on Serial, an RSS reader designed to help people bring control back to their media consumption.I’m especially interested in music, sustainably-built software, collaborative or interactive software, and civic tech. If you have any opportunities in those areas and if you’d like to work together, don’t hesitate to reach out!
