## Projects

- **FASM Solutions (RYB Paint Mixer) at Simon Fraser University** — http://www2.ensc.sfu.ca/~whitmore/courses/ensc305/projects/2011/17desi.pdf
This was a Capstone Project for Engineering Students at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada. We were a team of 4 students from various engineering concentrations.

Our prototype product was an RYB Paint mixer which dispensed accurate amounts of color mixes based on RGB input. The project was focussed around paint valve control, RGB to RYB mathematical conversion, MOSFET based switching circuit, touch panel and wireless color sensor programming.

See website for Design Documentation. The prototype was successfully demonstrated at SFU in December 2011.
- **Analysis of Video Streaming Over the BitTorrent Protocol** — http://www2.ensc.sfu.ca/~ljilja/ENSC427/Spring11/Projects/team5/Final_Report_Team5.pdf
We modified standard BitTorrent protocol to be able to do live video streaming. We used ns-2 simulation software to simulate both the modified version of BitTorrent and the standard client-server model. The results show that BitTorrent is a better option for the networks where number of client is large. Furthermore, we concluded that by using BitTorrent,we can decrease the data load on the server. This advantage allows server to have less bandwidth dedicated to video streaming.
