## About

I'm a solo web designer and developer based in the Netherlands, working with startups, scale-ups, and independent businesses that want a site worth having.

I run a one-person studio by choice. No account managers, no handoffs, no dilution. You work with me directly, start to finish.

My background is in filmmaking, which means I tend to think about websites the way a director thinks about a scene: what is this saying, and to whom? That approach runs through everything I build, whether it's a marketing site for a growing startup or a webshop that needs to work as well as it looks.

## Career

- **Web Designer & Developer at F. Voort Creative** (Sep 2019 - Present)
After graduating high school in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I started freelancing, designing websites for small to mid-sized businesses. Over several years, my practice grew alongside me as I learned more about the field and working with clients, acting as my own "mini university."

Now, continuing my freelance practice under a new name, F. Voort Creative, I'm focusing on designing fully custom websites.
- **Marketing at The Climate Academy** (Oct 2022 - Jan 2023)
Riga, Halle, Brussels, Stockholm, and Paris: my time at The Climate Academy was spent traveling Europe by train, immersing myself in the organization's work across different communities.

When not attending events and protests or producing videos for social media, I focused on helping the team develop their first client acquisition strategy and positioning, enabling the organization to expand into new schools across multiple regions and countries.
- **Video Editor (Internship) at Peelpioniers** (Oct 2017 - Mar 2018)
During my internship at the Peelpioniers, I produced an animated explainer about high tech for ASML and joined a production trip to Venice, producing content for youth audiences.

I enjoyed turning unconventional ideas into productions that generate popular appeal, but learned the most about the "boring" aspects of creative work, like project and client management.
