## About

I'm looking for roles at the intersection of IT and media technology — broadcast systems, media infrastructure, or technical support at media companies or their vendors. That said, I'm open to broader IT roles as well: what matters to me is working in an environment where I can think, troubleshoot, and keep learning. My background makes me effective wherever technical depth and clear communication both matter.

## Experience

- **Post-Production Professional at Colorcoded** (2013 – 2018)
  Freelance video editing, animation and motion graphics for national and international clients under the name Colorcoded. Clients included Philips, NOM, Noorderlink and Weber MC.
- **Eigenaar at Freespiritmedia** (2003 – 2013)
  Independent creative studio covering motion graphics, animation, video production, lighting design and technical coordination for events and festivals. Clients included Philips, NOM, Noorderlink and Weber MC. Also active as VJ at events including Clash, Flevopop and Break-Fast.
- **Video editor en vormgever at MY Facilities** (2010 – 2012)
  Video editing and design work for a media facilities company. Clients included Attero, Essent and Ziggo. Also assisted as video technician in equipment rental when needed.
- **Multimedia Designer  at WEBER Creatives** (2007 – 2007)
  Video editing and animation. Developed concepts for clients including Philips, KLM and Malaysia Tourism Board. Designed a complete concept for a museum exhibition.
- **Partner at Ontwerp 43** (2005 – 2006)
  Partner at a small design studio. Delivered animations and motion work for TMF (MTV Networks), Grip on Service and the University Museum Groningen.
- **Sales Associate  at Bever** (2001 – 2005)
  Sales and advice for specialist outdoor equipment.
- **Outdoor Instructor at Dunedain Buitensport** (1996 – 2000)
  Outdoor activity instructor covering climbing, archery and adventure trips for groups in the north of the Netherlands.
- **Senior Video Editor at DPG Media BV** (2017 – 2025)
  Responsible for editing a wide range of content across social media, documentaries, explainers, branded content and commercials for DPG Media's entertainment channels (formerly MyChannels). Worked closely with internal teams, ICT departments and external partners to ensure content met technical and editorial standards across platforms.
- **Tech Support at DPG Media** (2017 – 2025)
  Alongside my editorial role, I took ownership of the technical infrastructure for the entertainment team: storage solutions, MAM systems, streaming/encoding workflows and podcast setups. Acted as the technical liaison between editorial staff, the ICT department and external vendors. Provided functional input for software modifications and system integrations, several of which were rolled out to international users of the same platforms.
